Parent Survey and Introduction

Welcome to this multipurpose website that is a key part of a research project that looks at the impact that the

National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is having on school communities. The problem is that no-one has ever really asked what benefit high-stakes testing has for school communities.

The second phase of this research commences in April 2013 and contains a survey that is open to parents of select schools in WA. The reason for asking parents their perspectives on NAPLAN is that they particular insights and experiences of NAPLAN grounded in local school contexts. This survey opened in early April and closes in late June.

All of this information collected will be used to better understand the positive and negative impacts of NAPLAN on school communities and inform key stakeholders. Your input is valued.
